Clean & Care
All jewelry is made by hand. Please be mindful of how you care for your items. Sterling silver, brass, and bronze will tarnish and darken over time. To help slow this process, when not wearing, it is best to keep jewelry stored in a sealed small zip lock bag. Do not wear your jewelry when bathing or swimming in any water.
Sterling Silver:
Please do not use any chemical silver cleaning paste or liquid on your jewelry. Doing so will remove the intentional dark antique finish and completely change the look to a bright white silver. If you notice your jewelry tarnishing over time and looking a bit dull, you can clean by a few methods:
Take some baking soda and add a drop of water to create a paste. Gently scrub the piece with the paste on your fingers or an old toothbrush. Avoid any stones on the piece so not to scratch. Rinse with light dish detergent (Dawn) and water to clean off all baking soda and bring the shine back to your piece, then dry.
You can also use a jewelry polishing cloth to gently polish your piece, avoiding any stones. Your cloth may turn black as you polish but it is still good to use multiple times. Rinse with light dish detergent (Dawn) and water to clean off all cloth residue, then dry.
Brass or Bronze:
Brass and bronze will naturally darken over time. If you like the look you can simply leave it alone to patina and occasionally clean using light dish detergent (Dawn) and water.
If you'd like to remove the patina, you can submerge your piece into a cup of white vinegar and let it sit about 2-3 minutes to brighten the color. Do not let it sit too long or it will have the opposite affect and darken it again. Then rinse using light dish detergent (Dawn) and water. Be sure to fully dry.
